As a cheap Bastard I bought the New for 2007 GMC RCSB WT, which has a grey like color for the interior plastic.

Has anyone ever used some of the Interior shop products to paint it black? I even thought about VHT epoxy semi flat black since I have used VHT in many projects and its durability is the stuff of legend.

look up SEM dye. It is more than just a paint. It will penetrate into the plastic permanently changing the color.

 

Hey man, I think that's just smart. Mine was a W/T also and I replaced the black exterior trim with color-matched/chrome pieces and no one would suspect it's a W/T! That just leaves more $$$ for fun stuff, right?

 

Krylon makes a aerosol can that bonds to plastic. I used it on the bow-tie on my grill and the grill its self and no chipping yet after 4 months. Its at Wal-mart.
