Default Painted Mirrors

For the people that had them done did you have your mirrors sanded smooth? or were they just primed and painted as is?

If they were painted as is can you notice the dimples alot or is it very minimal?

thanks

I've seen a painted interior where they left the dimples, and they seem to get cut down by half. It looks good on interiors, but exterior wise I would smooth.

2 coats of primer, wet sand, base coat, clear coat.
I sanded and painted my engine cover without primer and was not impressed. It came out dull even with 2 coats of clear, so i sanded it down and repeated the process but with primer this time. Results=Awesome!

I sanded mine down which was pretty easy. Then, I used a 'filler' type, high build primer. Sanding down and re-priming a couple times. The primer will fill in any 'dimples' not entirely removed by sanding.
