If you want to get smaller mirrors and still see everything just get some bug eyes(round convex mirror) to put on the smaller mirrors. You can see EVERYWHERE and EVERYTHING around the truck with those.

Oh hell, who cares what they look like, they're awesome. I even had a set of bug eyes on my '00 SS Camaro. Made changing lanes so much more pleasant.

But back in June I had the whole mirror painted....looks way slick. No more ugly plastic, dont mind the picture I had vinyl flames on my truck for 3 months. They are off now! just wanted to see if I liked it.

Did you take the mirror apart to sand and paint?? If not how did you do it??? THANKS!!!

I think it was around 100$ orginialy, and I didnt do it I had a professional paint shop do it. Hes in the so cal area, hes the same guy who did my 3rd brake light. Tinted that for me. I think for brake lights if you do all 3 it was around 150 for all 3. As for mirrors I will have to ask the person who hooked me up with him. I dont remember his name or shop. but yeah he sanded it down real good and then painted it. it looks real good. And I love my big ol mirrors. I was thinking of having him get rid of that line around where the cap is. But I dont know.

Thats why I wanted to know if the I could swap the guts into the base mirrors because they are totally smooth. Yeah I was thinking maybe just using body filler for the crack, but I think it would be more trouble.
