well i did it! it took me 9hrs. it looks good but there were a few places were the paper dug in deeper and the 3m rubbing compound i was using couldnt cut it. i used there retail version which i think they make it less coarse so it doesnt cut as well. so the scratches arent really deep, 1500-2000 grit and i spent alot of time going over them over and over but couldnt do it so what compound do you guys recomend to cut it, and bring back the gloss

sorry for the long post, any help will be greatly appreciated! pics will come soon

Which 3m compound did you use? They have different one's, I used some stuff by malco products which sells mostly to body shops etc.. but I know the local rep and he has a small retail store here, It's called Fast Cut and it's purple in color. Also the 3m I have is a brownish color and I it's a heavy cut. Pad makes a difference as well since some of them are for more cut and others for more polish.

well it is improved but needs more attention.
I used meguires medium cut pad for compounding then fine polishing pad, both were foam.
im going to try a wool pad next time for compounding, oh and the rubbing compound was brown. i think its there watered down version that they sell at retail stores
