Your choice of pic is dictating the outcome I think, at least for me it did. There's a lot of shadows and dark lines that are making the pewter look darker than it is (I owned a pewter 01, so I've spent my time looking at the colour!). It's almost like there's a dark filter on the photo, which is why a grey wheel is getting suggested more than the other choices...

Just a theory.
