New Wheels are always fun.

The wheels I got about 6 months ago were out of function more then desire for the specific wheel. When I bought the Denali the tires were all different and all different tread depths. So these wheels had better tread then most of my tires and more importantly they matched.

I got a small bend in one of them and ran the tire flat on wed and just the other day a customer of mine asked if I was interested in his wheels. So after some negotiating we made a deal. Only thing I didn't realize that the damn Mexican got car tires on them! hahah He sent me pics on his truck but couldn't tell the tire size.

Anyhow I like the wheels on my truck much better then the old ones but I desperately have to get real tires. 265/30r22 isn't going to work for me at all! Not to mention the look stupid as hell.

Car tires or not, I can tell thru the monitor 2000 miles away, those were low pro tires from pic he gave u on his truck. Unless he didn't wanna separate. Now u gotta go thru hassle of offloading those rubber bands & buying some proper treads.
New wheels look wayyy better.

I own a shop and a tire machine. Swapping the tires isn't an issue. Again I have 3 40% tread 305/40R22s but would love to get some hi her tread tires with winter coming up. I knew they were low profile just didn't know they were Hella Flush.
It solved a problem in many ways and the tires situation isn't a big deal.

That's the only reason I'd go to a 17, 18 or 20", to stuff a big(ger) brake in there. I'm facing that soon, cause I need sticky tires out back, so I gotta decide ; keep the handling or make the move more toward a DD drag setup.

All wheel drive I won't have traction issues for a while if ever. Weight isn't massively different and the handling is much firmer with the shorter tire. So overall big brakes or not these wheels and tires (the real truck tires) are function in addition to form.
This doesn't mean you need to like 22" wheels for any reason.
