Default new tires

I have a set of mkw mk10 in a 20x9 and was trying to decide between a toyo in a 295/45 and a nitto in a 305/40. I know I will have no problem with the 295 on that wheel, but will the 305 be to wide for a 9" wheel. I contacted nitto and they said yes but I would like to know if anyone is running them. I think I can but would like to see what you all say. thanks

According to the nitto website, they recommend anything between a 10-12 inch wide rim. If it was my truck I would not do it. If you try it, the guy putting your tire on will be cussing. Hope this helps.
