Default New Pics......Ideas......

Heres some new pics of the truck. Want to get some ideas, I've been thinking about.






Haven't really done that much to it other than tinting the windows, removing the rear bowtie, colormatching the front bowtie and the perf. mods below.

I have a list of mods for the future to do, but am stumped on the suspension aspect of it. I'd kind of like to lift the front to level it, but the performance side of me is ruling out and wanting to lower it to level it. Keep in mind this truck is a 2WD Z71, it will only be leveled, no other suspension lifts or drops will be done. This truck is my daily driver and used to go to jobsites at work occasionally, so it has to remain usablein that form, and needs to be able to handle the occasional, gravel, sand, dirt, wet grass, etc..... of a jobsite so AT tires will have to remain.

Option 1:
Lower the rear using 2" shackles and removing the 1" rear block. Remove the Z71 Decal, and then go with a shorter/lighter weight tire package. I have been looking at the Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo's, and a few others, but the tire size is 265-65-17. Tires would be about an inch shorter and 6 pounds lighter per tire than the stock 265-70-17 tires. Then do the rest of the supporting performance and show mods

Option 2:
Lift the front with preferred leveling kit, leave the rear alone. Stick with the stock size tires--265-70-17's but go with a better-little more aggressive tire that what came stock. Note: 265-70-17 is the largest tire I will go even with the front level kit so not to kill my power and mileage any more than stock. Then do the rest of the supporting performance and show mods.

I am leaning to option 1, this should still give me more than enough ground clearance for jobsites, as it is right now, my truck sits much higher than my fiance's 06 4X4 ECSB Z71.

I would go with option 1. JMO. Man that rear end is high.

option 1 definately if your not really going to be 4 wheeling a lot and can stand to lose a little ground clearance. that thing is high in the rear!

I agree with option #1 also but I'd start by just pulling the blocks and seeing how that looked before doing the shackles.

I've been leaning toward #1 for a while now, just being really in-decisive on this one, but more than likely thats the way I'll go.

They make Z's that aren't 4 wheel drive?

Lower the rear...the resemblance is uncanny.

I'd go with option 1 but I don't understand why you want to get a shorter tire. Your stock tires are the shortest tire I'd ever put on a NNBS truck simply because of the huge wheel wells. There would be ALOT of fender gap if you went with a shorter tire. Yeah, shorter tires help with acceleration but I don't think it's worth it. If anything, I'd get a wider tire (275 or 285) and keep the same height.....or even taller. Anyways, good progress so far. I love those stock wheels.

I definitely say option 1...and agree with BlackLM7 that I'd stick with the stock height or wider tire to fill the wheel wells.
