Default need mirror advice

in light of some ******* hitting my rear view mirror on the driver's side today and taking off I need a new mirror(s). I have a 2002 sierra with power mirrors and the chrome inset. the housing is busted to **** and the glass is broke. motor and all else seems to be okay. I stopped by the stealership and holy **** $198 for a new mirror so now I am considering aftermarket mirrors. I figured I would throw it out there for suggestions. what brands? any pics? can I get power mirrors that will use factory switches/wires?

Does someone possibly have a mirror in their garage they want to get rid of? I found the mirror on gmpartsdirect but they even want $113. at this point I am thinking aftermarket is probably the e-ticket. I am open to suggestions....

I just hope karma comes back to bite this bastard in the *** HARD. my damn inspection expired today and I had planned to go get it done on Friday but now I guess I will need a damn mirror before I can get that done.

That's a good price from gmpartsdirect. I have exactly what you described, driver and passenger side. I was planning on selling mine for $70 each, plus shipping.

I have found PAIRS of factory pull off mirrors on ebay for $50 or less. you think you might want to cut me a break on the price. is the mirror in perfect condition. what year truck did it come off of?

I really like my Street Scene mirrors...they're paint-to-match though. You can get them power/heated etc.

Check out www.stylinconcepts.com.

thanks for the link. I have been considering those but right now $$$$ is tight. I am getting hitched the end of this month. It looks like a may pick a stocker up off ebay and go that route. the cal vu mirrors will definitely be on my truck in the future.

I guess I will have to rob a mirror off the tahoe to get my truck inspected
