i cant say i have always been honest, but i try. as far as insurance prices, its because of people trying to sue for thousands of dollars for bullshit, i am an EMT and work on an ambulance so i see people everyday going to the hospital with nothing wrong just to sue.....thats why my insurance is through the roof. now on to your situation, if you do a FAIR estimate which depending on the damage (my moms truck got rear ended and they charged 3200 for a bumber, hitch, straighten frame where the hitch mounts, and paint the tailgate) but charge them fair for the damage, have them cut you a check and use the money as you please, wether its to fix the truck, customize it, pay bills, or drink and spend on strippers. personally, i would get a good estimate, do the work myself and once fixed, spend the rest on a cowl hood, wheels, and headers for my truck, but thats just me.........as far as color scheme i like the red on silver best but thats just me

Honestly, I've seen alot more coherently written paragraphs...it was pretty tough to follow but I still get the gist of it. There are many, many reasons why insurance (I wasn't just talking automobile) rates are going higher. I think the biggest problem I have with this guy is his statement of 'Basically I am f*cking them.' I have nothing wrong with him doing a fair estimate and using the money however he wishes because many times aftermarket parts are cheaper than OEM. I have nothing wrong with him pocketing what is leftover if it is a fair estimate because he can fix it how he wants it. However, I do have a problem with the 'I'm going to f*ck them' attitude...
