Default My new Carbon Fiber Hood

Well, after all of the talk about the Carbon Fiber hoods awhile back...I figured I'd jump on this deal. The auction ended for $102.50, and shipping is gonna get me for $144, so the total is $246. I figured it was worth a gamble since the sellers feedback is virtually impecable. I'm not sure, as I want to see how it matches up against my paint, but will prob. paint either the entire hood, or tape off some SS stripes and paint the rest...so the stripes are like "ghosted in" in carbon fiber. If it's not up to par I'll sell the sob like I do everything else. My hood has a TON of stone chips, so either way a hood is gotta get painted this year. Here is the link....what do you all think?? Trust me...It's not gonna look "ricer" in anyform...or I'll cut the fugger' up and make a picture frame out of it

Sounds like a steal of a deal for a carbon fiber hood. I guess you're going to have to post some pics after you get it on there.

My hood has 7 years and nearly 100k miles of stone chips and touch up marks. It's really the only part of the truck that looks 7 years old. Even if I do sell the truck the hood will need to be painted. Hopefully this will turn out ok, even if I have it painted all one color. Losing a few pounds ain't gonna hurt either.

hey that's not a bad deal at all. i assume it weighs less than your stock hood. hopefully it fits nice and looks good. that way you'll save some weight at the track.

Judging from his feedback, I'm hoping it's the real deal. I clicked on his feedback number and one of the deals at the top was a guy that bought a C/F hood for a 300zx or something, and he seemed very satisfied. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
