did you weld and balance that yourself or have someone do it?
IF you did, how'd you make sure it balanced properly?

x2

Most tire companies are going to tell you things like this to avoid liability issues. You can safely run a 12.5" tire on a 7" rim. It's going to be a little different pressure wise to get it to ride and wear well than a regular tire, but it is by no means dangerous.

Very nice wheels Regency! That's a really cool idea. I have seen it a few times in the past and I always wonder why more guys don't do this.

Regency, do you not have disc brakes on the rear?

No the 05's went to a larger front disc and a drum rear

I done it. We done one wheel at a time, balancing we used a dial indicator and would install the wheel and put it in gear and let off the brake and watch it to see if it was wobbling. By the time we were done, i had them balanced better than they were right out the box.

So you used a dial indicator to check the run out as you tack welded them? That's pretty wild. It sounds like it would be very time consuming and tedious. I'm curious to know what wheel manufacturer's tolerances are for wheels and tires.

Oh yeah, how did you cut the welds from the hoop to the center section? That seems like it would be a PITA.
