Ok I just talked to my old man and he said he'd trade mirrors with me so I can have the chrome ones.

Is there an easy way to take them off like just remove that triangular cover, or would I have to remove the door panel?
They are both electric, are they just plugs, or would I have to be splicing anything? Thanks in advance, hopefully I can dig into it on Saturday.

 

assuming the 03s and the 99-02s wire harnesses are the same, the swap shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes. just pull on the trianglur piece til it snaps off. pull out the foam. unscrew the three studs, unclip the mirror, and unclip the wiring harness. its very easy, once you get the plastic piece off you'll see how easy it is.

 

cool, i used to have an S10 that I put the street scene mirrors on, so I've had a lil bit of experience with swapping mirrors... hopefully all goes well!!
