Default messed up my mirrors

After all the research i got somebody to paint my mirrowrs for me. However they have a blueish tent on them where my truck is more of a gray tint with the white(i hope that made sense). Anyways i noticed this and asked the painter and his response was" The plastic makes the color change a little and their is nothing (HE) could do to fix it"
Is this true or is he BSing me.

Also i had him paint my fender a year ago and he got the color spot on. Will the diffrence between the sheet metal and the plastic mirror make the paint change enough that i can tell a difference?

Thanks

i'm not sure if he's aware but he can make pain any color he wants it to be to compensate.
But I painted my door handles victory red with a rattle can and clear coat and they are still victory red.

He's bsing you. Even if the base isn't a perfect match, the clear can be tinted to match. He just doesn't want to fool with them.

Actually, plastic can cause a color change. As the sun heats the plastic it can emit vapors that can cause a color change. But that usually takes some time to happen.
