Default Lowering with 20's ?

I am buying a set of 20's here soon and am wondering how much I can lower my truck without having to worry about rubbing while turning and hitting bumps in the road.

Depends on the width and backspacing of your wheel and the tire size you want to run.

The general rule with a NBS truck for a 4/6 drop is a 20x8 wheel with 5.5 bs or a 20x8.5 with 6 bs. With a 2/4 drop you can run a wheel with less back spacing since you don't need them to be able to "tuck".

We can help more if you give us some more specific info as to how low you want to go and what wheels and tires you have in mind.

I am buying the wheels from one of my buddies. He is selling them for a friend of his. I will get in touch with my buddy and see if he can find out more info on them. BTW they are the Centerline Dagger wheels with tires. How much do those run new? Just want to check so I know I am not paying to much. Thanks for the help.

Do you mean these?

Centerline only lists 5 lug applications for that wheel. Are your friend's wheels six lug? Have him take one off and measure the backspacing (distance from the wheel mounting surface to the back edge of the wheel) and get the tire size too.

Those are it. I am positive they are six lug. I will go by there next time he is at his shop and get the tire sizes and measure for back spacing. I have a picture of them on my camera phone.

Picture quality sucks I think my phone is about dead anyway. But you can see they are six lug.

they came in both 5/6 lug which also meant 5/6 spokes, i had them on my old 93 1500, dropped on 18's. at the time i spent about $2000 wrapped in goodyear GS-D3's but that was in 02.
