Did he do it himself, or did a shop do it?

 

i think your truck looks great just the way it is, if it was me and i had to mod the suspension i would lower it, at most 2". i like the way it sits right now though with those wheels looks good

 

If I did lower it, it wouldn't be more than 2". I spend most of my time on pavement, but I like to hit the dirt, too. Besides, it's a truck, and I'm still going to use it.

My friend installed the kit himself. He is a very good mechanic, the installation did not cause his problems. If you don't want to completely slam your truck, I would go with some springs and flip kit if necessary.

 

Now I'm curious as to what happened.

 

Dude, if you don't drag something on your truck on a daily basis, you aren't low enough.

 

Ha ha, let's see... I could get rid of the inner fenders, install air bags, and lay frame--oooh, and do it at night--...na, that's cool but too low for me. Like I said before, I'll still be using my truck. That bed's not on there for nothing.


Since you brought it up; have any experience?

 

A 3/5 drop would look great on your truck. I've always liked the rally wheels as well; they'd look good with that drop.

 

The front upper shock mounts are cantilevered about 4" off the frame, way to much fatigue stress on underbuilt parts.

 

What, dragging? Just as a spectator, lol. I've worked to hard for my stuff to tear it up doin that ****. But as low as I am, I catch SOMETHIN on a daily basis, lol, wether it be the frame rails or a Kmember.

Really, I think a 4/6 on your truck with adjustable shocks in the rear (maybe even helper bags) would be the ****! Always loved that body style, and they always look sick sitting in the weeds!
