Sorry, just looked at one yesterday. No coil over front suspension. Same front suspension as the 06' or 07' classics.
A coil over is a spring attached to the shock. The spring was separate than the shock.
No coil over as of yet on the 2wd trucks at least. Not sure about the new 1500 4wd trucks.

Juging from the graphic I found (couldn't find a picture) front employs a new coil over shock front suspension. This is just like the 4x4 I looked at last week! But it was a 4x4. Surly the 2x4's are the same?

One thing to note every new 07 I have seen as has rear drums!

The chevy looks awsome and they have coil-over and I was reading on the dmax site that a guy drove test mule 2500 with coil overs as well.

i figured they would go with coilovers sooner or later, they're just a lot better than the damn torsion bars.

From what I hear the rear discs are available as rear drums are standard.

According to GMBuyPower.com, http://www.gmbuypower.com/pages/subm...2B223711B8BE91
you can get a 2wd model w/ coil-over front suspension. Scroll down to the suspension section and you'll see it coil over listed as available.

That may be, but the 2WD truck I was looking at had cast lower A-arms and a spring separate from the shock. The front end was the same as current.
Either it's not out yet, or it's an option choice that comes with a certain packaged truck.
I do know that the new bodied SUV's and Avalanche have that set-up posted above. That I have personally seen.
Not to be negative about this, but the one I looked under did not have the new lower aluminum A-arms or a coil over system.
It was a 07' CCSB Silverado with the 5.3 DOD (flex fuel) engine and had cloth interior.
Maybe you have to opt for an LT or LTZ packeaged truck to get the better front suspension. I don't know.

I don't like the wheel and tire combo personally...too much bling and not enough rubber IMO. I feel that lifted trucks look better with more sidewall. Besides that, the truck is badass.
