Well I finally ordered the new sockets and LED's. I ordered the Clear LED's as well as the Blue. I wasn't sure which I'd like better and was actually trying to get the look of the new Vette guages. Unfortunately, they came out light blue with the Clear LED's so now, I'm gonna try out the UV lights to see how they look. Just wanted to post this up in case any one might be interested. I'll try getting some pics up soon to show the difference and if anyone's interested I'll probably be selling the LED's with the socket's ready for install in a few days.

 

i would be interested in the sockets and the blue leds if you get rid of them...let me know...

 

Well actually, I'm keeping the Blue LED's to use with the Escalade Guages when I get them. The clear LED's show up blue though if you'd be interested in those. FWIW, it makes me think of the indiglo watches and guages with the color from the clear LED's.

 

I'm curious as to what the UV LEDs look like. It would be cool if they made the numbers glow like a blacklight over white does

 

That's what I'm hoping for. I'll post pics up when I get them installed. I really want them to look like the new C6 guages do. I personally like the white numbers, but it bugs me because of the dirty look the regular bulbs cause. Bulbs should be here the middle of next week. And for what it's worth, I'm working on a way to convert the Autometer 2 1/16" guages to LED lighting instead of the normal bulb with the cover on it.
