Default I've Gone LIGHT crazy. HID's

So Im a fan of crazy lights, I can wire about anything, So I got tired of my LED reverse lights and ordered some 35w H13 HID's for the reverse lights. Yes they fit nicely with a .$25 o-ring from Napa or where ever. Ive tried with a Halegon h13 I had laying around. I have a few questions. Will the HID's melt the taillight housing or plastic? I have the 03-07 Silverado tails. They are tinted, will it hurt the tint? And I figure I need to wire up a relay, them wires to the original plug are SMALL.
...And Im thinking of ordering a set for my DRL's....man I got an addiction

I doubt heat would be an issue for the short amount of time you would have them lit up.

Thats normally true, but I have my Cargo lights wired to my reverse Lights, they come in aweful handy working out behind the truck in the dark...loading firewood or somethin. So they see a little longer run time
