Its not a truck! Its my new toy!

I picked this up this past Thursday night. Its a 1981 Chevrolet Corvette C3. It was being put together at a shop up in Rancho Cucamunga, CA and the guy couldn't afford to pay what he owed. It sat at that shop for a year and the shop owner finally aquired the title and put it up for sale. He was advertising it for $6500, and I came over with cash in hand, and a trailer and hauled it off for $5,900. It was a good score, as they just dropped a new crate motor in it and it only has something like 500 miles on the new motor. It does have its issues, but it will still turn out to be a great car to own. What do you think?

That has already been thought of. I can see a 502 backed by a 6 speed being squeezed in there. I just have to save up a little to make it a reality one of these days. I'll cruise it as it sits for a while until I can afford to swap motors.

Great find! It just needs some detail work under the hood and a little inside. Did it pass the infamous California smog test yet? Quick question....what color is on that Colorado in the background? Pace Blue? Just wondering because my dad has a RCSB ZQ8 Pace Blue Colorado. I've only seen 1 Pace Blue truck in person and maybe 3 pictures of them. Very cool and rare color IMO.
