Default Ideas for side

I took off my side moulding and the 1500 off my truck. Th only thing is that when the guy before me had it repainted, and when I took off the 1500 it looks like crap behind it. I really don't want to put the 1500 back on my truck though. Any ideas, ex. new emblem or something of that nature.

I would clean it up the best you can. Maybe wet sand it so you dont f-up the paint to much. And then if you have to repaint just that small area.
