i have a 99 dakota R/T wat is the widest size tire i can run on the back. and how wide are the wheels? i know they are 9 or 9.5 inches wide but im not for sure . they have 235/50/17 on it now

 

285 or 295 would fit good i imagine but dont go buy some just cause i said it. find a tire shop to test fit some for you, most places will have a small fee for doing it but you may be able to find a mexican tire shop that wont charge you

 

Your wheels are likely not that wide? take one off and it should be stamped on the back, or look up the specs on Google. As for tire size, I run a 275/40/20 on a 8in wheel.

 

My bad, just searched and they are 9in wide.
