I need a few things painted and I'm kinda looking for some prices to go by. So what should:
1. Sir Michaels roll pan
2. Front Bowtie
3. Bumper cap and lower valance
4. Stock grille
5. Smoothed tailgate cap
6. Cal-Vu sport mirrors
cost me? All of this will be sandstone metallic. I'm sure some of you paint guys will know, I kinda figure the shop will give me some over priced BS figures.

The prices can vary quite a bit. I used to live in Orange County. Real Estate there demanded higher prices. I could save a grand just by driving across town. You'll really need to go around and get some quotes... but I can give you a comparable. I'm in Seattle/Tacoma now. This comes from a guy whose work has been featured in several magazines and car shows... To paint my front grille, bumper pad, lower valance, side mirrors (minus chrome cap), blast chrome off rear bumper and paint, shave tailgate handle/relocate and paint tailgate... I was quoted between $1500 and $2000.
For the type of work he does, that's a good price. I got quoted $600 to do just the grille, bumper cap and valance when I was in OC. ...and that was an Earl Scheib-type shop. Since you aren't getting any bodywork done, I don't think I would pay more than a grand. There's a lot of prep that needs to go into the grille and front bumper pieces to smooth them out.

One more thing... stay away from the places that handle insurance claims. I think that's the kind of place you will get inflated prices from. Stick with hot rod-type shops. Odds are you'll be employing artisans that take pride in their work and charge competitive rates.

Wow, prices are really inflated out that way. I got quoted $170 to paint the bumper cap and lower valance a while back, and that guy does great work. I was thinking maybe around $500-$600 at most, thanks for the help man.
