I found this the other day...disappointment

Hello again, the other day i was drying my truck and happen to find these spots on both doors at the bottom, but on the inside, i know my truck isnt a trailer queen, but i bought it brand new in late 02 and now it has 68,000 miles on it and i want to keep it as long as possible. So, then i went to the dealership i use to work at and spoke to the bodyshop manager and he said this is common on any model Ford, dodge and so on and he quoted me around $300.00 for both doors to get this fixed, and i want to know is this a good deal? don't really know when it comes to body repair or rust repair in this case, so suggestion would be great or advise...

That pic is a bit unclear to me. I need more pics & maybe a pic of door lower from the outside. It looks like u already sanded/ ground away at it. It does look like rust ( comes in from the backside). While $300 may be a fair price, it's only temporary fix, as said. Best fix is new skin or shell, but that drives price up alot!
Esp. if buying new GM. My 04 has weld-on hinges. Now, u have to worry bout alignment if you go that route. Ask me how I know.

$300 for both doors sounds fair to me, at least around here.
