Just try some simple green or just good old dish soap and warm water. The SSS 20s I had were PCed and warm water and car shampoo was the best to clean them with. Than like cammed00 said, never hurts to throw some wax on them to make it easier to wipe them off.

must b a stout cleaner... powder coating is my occupation. we tested some black pced wheels with an extremely strong degreaser/cleaner and let it sit quite the while. no problems whatsoever. try to not let the cleaner dry on the wheels. maybe that'll prevent the residue!

I'm with these guys^^^ wax them!

Is it a residue, or did you harm the finish? Does it scrape off with a finger nail?

If it was what I think it is, you my not get it out. It has stained or ate into the finish. Dish soap or even car soap followed by detail wax is more then enough to clean the wheels on a normal basis.

I don't ever let any cleaning product dry on a surface, it always leaves residue. You may have slightly etched the finish. All you need to wash wheels is car soap. Keep a coat of sealant on them and you barely even need that lol.

Anyways, I would try a "cleaner wax" which is very fine abrasives in it. This may bring them back. Meguiars used to sell some tbrough autozone. I am not sure though as I order all my detailing products online.
