Default High 4 headlight mod

Those that have done the high four mod on the 03+ trucks with the diodes... When you go to highbeams to the lowbeams turn off then back on again or do the slow beams stay on constantly? Why I ask is because my low beams are HID and i don't want to kill the bulbs flicking them on and off every time i change to high beams and back

They never lose a current because your just switching where the current is coming from. you never actually shut them off.
but make sure you get the diode snug. I think mines a lil lose or isn't the right resistance. Sometimes the lows will stay on for a few seconds and then just shut off.

I have mine done this way. Hi's and Lows are HID. When I switch my Hi's on, the lows stay on.

thanks.. looks like i'll give it a shot

I'm thinking of using HIR bulbs for the high beams.. it almost seems to good to be true and kinda of underground since they don't make true 9005 bulbs
