Not sure what your talking about with AV cables. Do you mean RCA cables? Are you using the stock radio? Are you using high level inputs on the amp, or a high to low converter?

As for the remote wire....get a test light and check which wire that comes out of the radio will light the test light when the truck is turned to ACC and Run. Make sure it stays on while the truck is running. Then just tap into that wire. All that is is a signal wire that lets the amp recive poer from tha main power supply. Basically it's a built in relay.

As for splicing into the amp, it depends on what kind of inputs it has, prolly rca low level (a/v cables as you said) so youll have to get the converter like fast said and tap into your rear speaker wires. As for the remote wire I'd jsut wire into the radio fuse from the BACK of the fuse box... good luck

i used the rears in my old truck. the wires can be accessed in the kick panel area. just remove the factory plastic panel and start testing wires. you can either cut them, cause you normally can't hear the rears or splice them. make sure you get a good quality converter. otherwise it will sound like poo...

JPCustoms sells a converter that plugs into the existing harness between the head unit and harness that gives you the RCA preouts and remote lead.

It would be better to just buy an after-market radio. It saves you the hassel of splicing wires. It also will sound alot better. My friend used his stock radio to power all of his door speakers and 2 subs on his stock radio. Well, when we replaced it. ALOT BETTER!!
