Default have an opportunity to get an SS

So I have an opportunity get an 03 Silverado SS for right at what I pay now for my truck each month. I am not sure if I want to go through the whole "car buying" headache ...should I?

You mean trade in your 2005 SLT for a 2003 SS and payments stay the same? The SS is a badass truck but I dont know if I'd want to trade for an older truck?

Equal mileage?

How many miles on the SS and your truck? Do you want to use your truck to tow/haul stuff or do you care more about performance and looks? If the mileage between the 2 trucks are close, I would get the SS.

The SS actually can tow more with a better capability, stock vs stock. And more can be done performance wise to the SS with the same street ability, IMO.

His truck is ECSB from the pics I have seen.

Unles the mileage is that much diff I cant see why not. And assuming the SS has no damage or problems.

Too many factors to take into consideration, and not enough information.

Do you care if you have a warranty? That would be my first question.

And how many more years would it tack on to your payment. That is another thing I would consider.. Even thou I would still probably get the SS

Let me tell you alittle about it. I have an 06 SSS 2wd, and I just love it! I had a 05 GMC ecsb slt truck myself before this one. I have enjoyed my GMC to the fullest. They are very nice trucks, the only problem was, it was a 5.3. Not saying that the 5.3 is not a good motor, because it is. Its just that, I've always wanted a 6.0 in my truck because you can do alot more to it. Its a great truck to have. You have to weight your decision. Think of the pro's and con's before you buy it. It starts with what you do for a living what the SS will be used for. If its a daily driver, which is what mine is, then think hard about what YOU will be doing with it. I sometimes regret getting mine, because I'm a commerical superintendent, so I'm in the dirt alot. But I try to keep it in the parking lot as much as I can. You couldn't tell from the pics though, cuz I love my SS and always keep it clean. My wife says that I love my truck more than her sometimes. The SS is the caddy of the chevy's and you must treat it with respect, and it's also a speciality of the trucks. But the truck is also made to run hard when you want to. The 03' has the option of having the AWD to which is great for launching, but you really can't do a burn out, plus its heavier than the 2wd. Just putting an exhaust and CAI will open up that 6.0 power. I get alot of looks and comments when I'm driving it. But don't think for a minute that you can go out and smoke everyone in it. You will be able to beat alot of other trucks, and trust me, you will get tested, but there is always someone faster.
Here's some pics of mine
