Oh and one more thing. Do you have any advice on how to take the chrome off the grill? I have already replaced it once under warranty for peeling, and the other day a rock hit the chrome strip and it spiderwebbed (if thats something that can happen) so I have to figure out something to do or let the dealer put a new one on again. It does not seem like the chrome on the grill if very durable.

But mine is 03 regular cab 7z1 so it will be different.
to each there own, i'm not the first one to have their truck painted this way.
you wont hurt my feelings.
atleast not yet.
thankfully theres not a truck around me that is like mine yet. but i give it some time before some kid shows up with it painted just like mine
yours will look good
oh and i would have them replace the grill again, but see if you can just go ahead and get the black tahoe grill. tell them you dont wont the chrome grill if it is gonna do that everytime it gets hit by a rock.

What are my options with grills. I have a 03 silverado. I looked for avalanche but i cant find a black one. I know the tahoe have black grills on the z71 but not sure if it will work with my truck. Do you know?

I was just about to post saying that the avalanche grill is not the same. I always thought the silverado had the same front as the avalanche but the avalanche head lights are below the parking lights like on the new colorado. Never noticed it but i guess I know now. I will look for a ss grill

Well after searching for a while I think I found something on this site.

http://www.chevy-parts-for-less.com/

The only thing is they have two options for painted. One with ss one without. Not sure what that means but I guess I could write them. Maybe I could talk the dealer into replacing mine with the SS one. Any chance I could get that lucky? Probably not huh?
