Default Guys i need some DETAIL help...

This is driving me crazy....

Problem #1



When i removed the lettering/molding...you cant see it in this picture...but you can still sort of see the (Silverado) on the bottom right corner of the tailgate....same with the door trimming when it was taken off...it still has a little bit of glue and other ****...i tried a few things...googone but no luck...what can i do???


Problem # ....look carefully by the headlight controls/etc..youll see this black **** i dont know what it is...but what kind of paint can i use to cover this up and where can i get it??


Any info from you guys would really help!

Oh man...your truck is a piece! I'm just playing...I completely understand, little things bother me too. Try waxing the area several times where you can see the 'Silverado'...

haha thanks..nah i just did the removal a few days ago so these things are just starting to appear in the sunlight....how would the clay bar work?

You need to polish it. Or use some scratch remover. THEN wax.

ALSO another thing....i have or had...that little shark looking fin on the top of my truck for onstar...and i guess someone needed it more than me and unscrewed it...so delearship i guess?

The clay bar will remove all the impurities from the surface of the paint. You can get a kit from Oreily's that will have the clay and the spray. Just be sure to use lots of the spray to keep the surface wet. It won't hurt your paint at all, but be sure to put a good coat of wax on afterwards because the clay bar strips wax.

1. Claybar will probably do the trick.

2. Is that a stain on the plastic or is the plastic itself damaged? If its a stain spray it with some quick detailer and use a microfiber to try and remove it.
