I agree, the GMC moldings would do the trick. they would still offer protection and look alot better. I have my moldings still for the protection (daily parked in a parking garage), but mine are color matched, so it's tolerable. I've been comtemplating the GMC moldings myself

Do the GMC mouldings. They look WAY better than that black plastic.

Mine's still plenty sleeper-ish. No one would ever expect my truck to run mid 11's.

i stand on the bumper cover while working under the hood way too much to have a painted one but i am tempted anyways. whats this about a pre painted grill? anyone have a pic of that one? anything that you can get prepainted is much more apealing to me.
I think the door moldings have to go! Your truck would look much cleaner. If you are worried about door dings, park away from other cars. It doesn't hurt to walk a little more. About the pre-painted grille, the arrival blue Silverado SS grille part number is 15178221. It comes prepainted...just take off stock grille and bolt on new grille. I have a black SS grille on my truck. Go to GMpartsdirect.com or go to the local dealership to order one! Hope to see your truck in action soon....

All of the stock black mouldings that I have seen get 2 bubbles under them on each side. Not sure what the deal is there, but if that is what you mean I don't think they are "dings". I didn't like how GM quit continuing the Mouldings onto the bed like they did for the 99-02's. I still have my factory mouldings and kinda like them on there, but they're not those black ones. That truck is badass looking, I don't think they take away from it as much as everyone is making it sound, but agree it would look better without them, even if they were replaced by something a little less "black". Great job!
