Default got tired of the wheel weights.

i got tired of the big ugly wheel weights on my rims and wanted something that wasnt as noticable. while talking to a buddy at goodyear he told me about dyna beads. http://www.innovativebalancing.com/index.html he said they go in the tire and balance it from the inside. i got some and put them in and removed the wheel weights. i went down i45 at 100mph and there was no vibration. i tried it at different speeds and all i felt was a smooth ride. i threw out those damn weights and hopefully will never use them again. if you hate the weights and want to ditch them then try it out. They said bbs work also but they rust or something. one thing is these were a pain in the butt to install. when putting them in through the valve stem they kept clogging. i had to tap the hose with a screw driver repeatedly to get them in. it took about 20 minutes a tire to get all of the beads in.

Me too, the new hunter balancing machines that road force test the wheels are great they even tell you where to put each wheel on the vehicle.

dont they have wheel weights that you can put on the back of your wheels so they wont show?

All you have to ask for is a static balance. They will put the weights on the inside lip,or ask for tape weights which go in the rear lip. Ive never heard of the bb's, but i guess it is like equal? Ive worked at a rim shop for a while now, and it takes about the same amout of time to balance them different ways, so they shouldnt charge you extra.

i've heard of the bead thing but never knew anyone who'd used them. glad they worked out for you. i'll bet it becomes alot more popular in the future. i'd think the best time to put them in would be when putting new tires one. do you hear them rolling around when you're going slow?

you cant hear them rolling because theyre about an 1/8 the size of a bb and i think theyre ceramic.

so when you have your tires changed, do they have to scrape all the little beads out? I would think that would get pretty frustrating, especially if they happened to spill any.
