if you have a cold air intake, what it does is pull in air off the windshield(supposably an air turbulent there) then channels it through the hood to your airbox

the goodmark cowl induction hoods are popular and look very good, plus your getting a steel hood, they fit super great compared to others(and are easier to adjust), and arent all that expensive
