99-02



03-07

 

The '03-'07 just looks bad *** with the large round deep socket fogs......but I'm biased

 

03-07 looks like it has a big bottom lip... i like the cleaner style of the first one

 

+ 1 for the 03-07

 

+2 for 03-07, I like the bigger bumper

 

im obviously bias...but i had the chocie between any of the fronts..i went with the 99-02...i perosnally like the roundness

 

i like the 99-02 style the best

i dont think the swap would be worth the money/time involved

a smoothed and painted valence and some cleared denali projectors would clean up the look of your current setup

 

I'm going to try to get a local shop to do the GMC/HD hood. While that's getting painted I figure I'll get the front end repainted to get rid of the 6 years of rock chips/scrapes in it. I figure I could either get the cap repainted an run a non-painted valance from the current front end, or swap to the 03-07 stuff while I'm dicking with it.

It looks to me like the 03+ bumper sits higher, which would be good for me since I don't have bags. I've absolutely destroyed this airdam on steep inclines and parking place "bumpers."

Just bored more than anything, thought I'd get some opinions.

 

I had a buddy photoshop that pic back in 03 when that front end first came out. The valance in the original picture is painted, it's just dark so you can't tell. I've since added Denali lamps too.

I like the way that the 99-02 bumper curves under for the valance...makes the front end look a little slimmer. But, the 03+ just looks more thought out...no plastic valance, deep round foglight openings, even the opening for the tow hooks and in between looks nicer, more rounded off.

I like them both a lot, but I'm having trouble deciding if the upgrade is really worth the $$$.

I like the 99-02, seems smoother and less buzy to me.
