Default Gm to put out custom wheels

Yep I saw the pics today of them. Gm dealers will start carring customs wheel made by GM. I am sure they will be contracted out but I thought it was cool of them to do so. I saw a set they are making and they look like something that boyd coddington would put out. a set of 18x8.5 are { with lug nuts valve stems ..blah blah...blah} $1600.. Just thought i would share this with you

1600 and no tires? if they want that much without tires they wont sell ****....you can buy a set of centerline 20" stingrays with lugs, tires, balanced for 1600.

I agree, they won't sell anything at 1600 without tires for 18s. I can vouch on that price for the stingrays! I love mine

The people that will buy them are the ones that don't know or don't care about the prices. Some people just want to have a custom wheel, and when the price can be added to the financed price of the truck because it came from the dealer with them, that's even better. $1600 added to the price and financed out over 5 or 6 years, is probably only $20 - $30 added to their monthly payment. Plus the dealership will probably "buy back" their stock tires and wheels for close to what tires will cost.

I think the only reason they are doing this is because you can get a Dodge with factory 20's. If I bought custom wheels from a dealer when I bought the truck I'd still want the original wheels that came with it.

well for many people that want the look this is a decent deal i guess. i mean, it can be added to the total finance charge of the truck. (not the smartest thing to do) but it does it for some. If the dealership will buy back the stock wheels and you can get tires that way, then you are set.

when I was going to buy an Envoy, it had some sweet 20's on it, but let me tell you, the price jumped up a whole shitload because of them. more than what the rims/tires should cost.

Yeah, but those factory 20s are uglier then **** on the Rams. They look like a 4 year old designed 'em.

it's not just that the 20s on the rams look like *** (which they do) it's the fact that EVERYONE that has a ram with 20s has the EXACT SAME 20s on their ram. who wants that....hell, i've never seen another truck with the same wheels as mine in the same size. i've seens 18s and 20s of the same wheel, but no other 17s around.
