FYI: "Chrome" in headlights NOT Chrome

FYI: "Chrome" in headlights NOT Chrome
Well while doing the "clear stock corners" mod, I noticed a few things.
FIRST:
ANYONE who says this is an easy mod is FULL OF SH*T!!!!!!! After 2hours of heating (30mins @ 200degrees, 30mins @250degrees, and constant use of a heat gun) and butchering the housing plastic, I finally got the lights apart. I HOPE they will look ok when finished!
SECOND:
The "chrome" inside the lights is not chrome. It was looking "dull" and I thought I would polish it up with some metal polish. WOW!!! MISTAKE!!! It polished the "chrome" right off of it. So I will have to go tomorrow and get some "chrome" paint tomorrow and repaint it.
Final thoughts:
"IF YOU CAN BUY CLEAR CORNERS, BUY THEM!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME DOING THIS MOD YOURSELF!!!!!!!" I'm going to put these together but as soon as I get the chance, I'm going to buy some and replace these.

Sorry to here about that. I've heard both sides of it...being easy or being hard. I've bought all of the sets I've owned for my trucks, including the set that I bought from you last week. Good luck with the rest of it.

Hey man, I had a helluva time doing mine as well. I even bought an extra set so I wouldn't be rushed. It took me almost 3 weeks to do mine. 
I did a little and my hands would start to hurt and I stopped. Anyways, it was a good mod to say the least. I'm not real big on chrome so I blacked mine out.
