So i'm in hawaii for work. My wife is home by her self with four kids and someone decides to egg my tahoe. WTF I don't understand people. So the egg i guess, is cooked on according to the wife. So she called base security and all and they said the base would pay for it if it messed up the paint. From what she said its covering the whole hood. Will this hurt the paint? I think it will but not sure. She is going to wash it off now.

 

won't a clay bar help take it out? I recall a post a while back about egg on paint...

that's messed up. even your own personal stuff isn't safe on a navy base.

 

Eggs will kill the paint!! If it was on it overnight it is too late, your geting a new paint job.

 

 

yeah on freaking base. when i moved in i found cookie smeared on my fender. i figured it was just little kid that was trying to get it off his/her finger. so i just washed it off. thn before i leave to come here someone was putting potatoes under peoples tires. including mine they did that like three days in a row. now it gets egged and it been in the sun all day and the wife says its cooked on to the point that she can peel it off. people around where i live are ummm alittle off. i park close enough to my fence that i can bearly open the door. that way its out of the way when poeple drive by. the road park on is between two rows of houses. its not a busy road more of a drive way. people walk between my tahoe and the fence...!!?? i don't understand, there is 20+feet of room walking down the NON busy drive way. and they want to walk between my tahoe and the fence that has about 2 feet of room. my wife caught one lady. she was like WTF are you doing turn around, go back and walk around. the lady looked at her like she didn't understand. i have little nicks and scratches al down the sides of my truck from stupid people.

ok, breeaattthh. so any way i guess it time for new paint. bad part is the hood was the best looking part of the whole tahoe lol.

get a HD hood for it and just have them paint that

I do te same thing, park so close to my building at work a freaking rat has a herd time getting thru but I catch people trying, like wtf? People are stupid.
Somebody egged my car once, I got it off in the morning but it was too late, already damaged.

 

it got on the grill too will it hurt the chrome?
