flaking tail lights???

Default flaking tail lights???
my tail lights are flaking some clear stuff off them....anyone had this happen? also, is there a way to go ahead and maybe sand them or something to get it all off? what would you guys do?

Mine are doing the same thing. I'm thinking of sanding them down with 3000 Unigrit, then buffing out the sanding marks and spraying them with some rattle can clear coat.
