Default First small changes to the GMC

This is the truck that will be recieving the powerplant swap and will be my new toy. The truck itself is super clean inside and out. Bone stock and unmolested. The first time I've ever been able to start with a completely stock truck. Here she sits

I'm gonna keep it pretty stock looking with the exception of a debadge and some work to freshen up the paint.

I did the wheels and put some shackles on it this weekend. I'm thinking i got ahold of some 3" HD shackles, this is he first set I've ever done (of many many sets) that's ever actually leveled the truck. I'm pleased with it.

Plans for the drive train are still somewhat up in the air. It will be at minimum a 6L. Hopefully a 6.2 if a current deal pans out. Single plane intake of some sort. 4bbl TB, a healthy couple of stages of nitrous, Circle-D multi disk, well built 65E and a 4.56 gear. Details will be ironed out along the way but I want to get as far as possible with the 10bolt and leaf springs. I'm puttin caltracs on it as it sits and see what happens. If it doesn't pan out it'll be a 3/6 drop with spindle/flip and caltracs.

I'm going to keep it pretty driveable as well. I made the deal with my wife that this one she will be able to get in whenever she wants and drive it wherever she wants. That's her only request since this was her first truck when she was 16. I thought that was fair enough. The exhaust will be 3" dual and very free flowing but will be kept as quiet as I feasibly can for her sake. Lots more to come from this one.
