Default denali wheels with toyo proxies?

I'm sure someone has done this.....I did a search but couldn't find any pictures.

I was thinking about 275/60/17's on the denali wheels. It would be .2" shorter (30" overall) than my current setup of 255/70/16 michelin ltx/ms's.

Thoughts?

I haven't seen Proxes in that size, but I'm sure the look would be great...and I can't recommend the tires highly enough. They look awesome, ride great, handle well dry & wet, and hold their compound consistency throughout the life of the tread.

That sounds great. I'm just hesitant to go away from Michelin, they are really quiet and ride nice, but not as performance oriented as the Toyo's.

They do in fact make the Proxes in that size, they have a PDF on their site listing all the available sizes.

Oops, sorry...I wasn't challenging you...I just haven't physically seen them. I'm sure they look awesome. The Toyos are very quiet and offer great ride quality. Obviously you'll be giving up some of that by going from 16" to 17" wheels, but I doubt you'll notice much difference.

Here's Goldenvelvet's truck with Denali wheels on 285/60 Toyo's.

I agree Toyo's are a bad *** tire, but take a look at the Hankook Ventus St's. I had them on my 17's and now my 20's. They ride and hook well, and you may save yourself a little $$.

The Toyo Proxes are nice tires. I have the 275/60-16 tires on stock 16's now and love them. If I had to get tires for the Denali 17's, I'd get the 285/60 Toyos instead on the 275/60's. They are 30.5" tall and a little wider than the 275 tires (wide=).
