Denali Headlights with HID conversion?
I was wondering has anyone ever put and HID kit on some Denali headlights because it seems to me that the projector light is maybe not as bright as the ones the GMC trucks have. I was just wondering if maybe it would not look as bright on the denali headlights as it does on the regular headlights because I have seen HID conversions on the regular headlights and they look real brights. Thanks

There's a guy called OracleKnowledge I think on fullsizechevy.com who has put a true HID kit in his Denali projectors.
He will tell you the same thing I will. Do NOT put an HID kit in regular headlamps because those headlamps were designed for Halogen light output, which spreads the light out differently than HID headlamps such as projectors or reflector styled housings. The HID light was meant to be controlled in one of those typse of housings.
Sure it may "look" brighter, but it really isn't. The light is just being spread all over the place and you may give off an annoying glare to oncoming cars.
I'll look for some links I had about HIDs..VERY informative
Here's one for now...

State Laws Are Changing
Also Id like to bring up the point that buying aftermarket HID's is now illegal. Not all states yet, but some?. Retailers have been told to remove them from their shelves and dealers are being watched for sales. If you modify your vehicle (in some states) their cracking down on people with HID's and crappy altezza style lights saying vehicles are unsafe and unapproved for road use. Hefty fines along with that Id image and a hassle. So check up on this before you do go and and in HID's My buddys got them in his maxima so I hear about all the flack he gets locally.
