Decladded, Resurfaced, Polished GMC's
It was a pain in the ass to remove the cladding and pricey to get resurfaced but all worth it in the end! Specially since they aren't so popular... yet... phump
Waiting on my clear corners, z71 valance and new silver bowtie! should look ( . Y . ) http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/7...0712183131.jpg http://img545.imageshack.us/img545/5...0712170320.jpg http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/9426/...0715101452.jpg |
Damn those are badass. What wheels are those again? Are they the NNBS stocker one with the hub cap things attached to them?
|

Have fun dude, i know i did! took me about two hrs per wheel but damn they look good! They get scratched easily so careful! |
looks dope, always liked them, but never seen a set polished up!
|
:eek2:  Looks awesome man.
|
so sick! i wana do this to my chevy wheels
|
Nice! What did they look for before?
|
|
Wheels look nice!!! On a side note, Is that a factory painted grill or an aftermarket one???
|
Damn those look sick!
I'm curious to see a set of these decladded and polished 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE Crew Cab Wheel Photos | GTcarlot.com |
Those look great, nice job. After you broke off the covers I assume there was an adhesive holding the covers to rims? How hard was it clean off?
|
I don't get why they bother with the fake chrome cladding... its cheap and looks like shit IMO. Not that the wheels are ugly before, but the way they go about it is just Pathetic...
|
those look amazing!
|
Looks awesome!!
I've got the same wheels, and love 'em. Get some Chevy center caps! The plastic lug nut covers off of NBS Chevy 17s will fit these wheels, too. |
Do u have pics of the wheels before you polished?
|
Those look awesome. |
Big time improvement!

Any way possible for center caps? Here's what your front will look like with your new z71 valence and Bowtie, Attachment 133470 |

Thanks bro , gotta love black trucks!

How heavy are they? What exactly do you mean by "resurfacing"?

they had some curb rash and some deep scratches so they had to take some material off. Picture what they do when you turn rotors |
 looks awesome!
|
What exactly do you mean by "resurfacing" I saw you tried to polish them before the resurfacing and they didnt turn out. What did the shop do to get them that clean? i can understand polishing but they must have stripped them down. I can get the same set of wheels at work for 400 bucks, but i hate the silver look. How in the world did they pull of a polished billet look on those????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes. Mine have OEM caps on there. Not the best pic, but you get the idea. You'd need to get them resurfaced to match.

this is an example of resurfacing wheels except they don sand blast them, they sand them down with a sanding wheel...

Nice truck dude, and the wheels look great now. Wont take long for this to catch on. |
Do you have to dismount the tire to take the cover off the wheel?
|
Those look awesome all cleaned up!

Almost looks like the centerline stingray ultras. What's the weight on that wheel?
|
I like those wheels. The new centerlines don't look very good to me, I liked the older design better.
