Default Declad Chevy 5 Spoke with Center Cap

Started to declad four 5 spoke, 20x8.5 Chevy Silverado Chrome Clad wheels.

After I removed the plastic center cap and plastic chrome cladding, I measured the inside diameter of the hub and found that is had a 7" ID.

I researched and found that Chevy Rally Caps, that originally came on C3 Corvettes, had a 7" outside diameter mounting ring where it clipped onto a Corvette rally wheel.

I bought a cheap Rally Police center caps on eBay. It was too tight to work with the inside diameter of the decladded wheel hub.

The rally center cap mounting "ring" is a solid piece and does not give when you try and install it onto the declad wheel.

With a band saw, I decided to pie cut the mounting ring of the center cap into 8 separate sections so it would give a little and allow the center cap to pressed onto the declad wheel hub.

After the eight pie cuts, it took a little pressure to mount the center cap onto the declad 5 spoke wheel, but it was easily removed with a screw driver (not recommended as it may scratch the wheel, but I was careful).

Below is the outcome.

There are other center caps you can use besides the one above. I chose the police rally cap because it was a lower profile and would not protrude past the lip of the wheel.

Here are a few options for center caps.
