Default Dash Opinion

I wanted to know what you guys like better. I noticed that there are a few of you with flip out screens and some with flush mounted double din ones in your dashboard. Which do you guys like better? I have an 01 Sierra and I don't even know if I can fit a double din in that space where the radio goes. Any help would be great.

Go with the Double Din, just a much cleaner look.

Double-din would look nicer, but you'll have to hack up the dash. They didn't start putting in DD-sized units until '03.

If you search around, you'll find some threads where people have done it.

The double din looks much smoother IMO.

I voted flip out since hacking into stuff never looks how you want it to. If you're good at custom installs then I say DD then, otherwise flip out.

Yea I was pretty sure that there would be some cutting involved because of the space issue. I really like the Double Din look as well.

i'd say double din if it was straight forward, but since there is a good bit of cutting, find a good touch screen flip out
