My buddy had a bottle of armor all on his dash. It leaked a little puddle and he didnt know it. It got real hot that day and when he went to wipe off the puddle. The paint came with it. So I would say it very well could be the cuase.

It happened to mine. It says in the manual to not put armor all on spots that come in direct sun light, but the way it states this is very vague. I got mine replaced at the dealer for free. They said if it happens again it will cost around 800-1000 to replace it.
