well, in a nutshell... you have to sand it down smooth, use some primer and adhesion to get a good base. start off rough with the paper and work your way smoother. once you have it as smooth as you want it then put your basecoat down. (probably 2 coats and wetsand... and then do your clear... after your clear is set up then polish.

1. sand down till smooth with 180
2. prime the dash with high build primer
3. sand the primer down with 320-400
4. put one more coat of primer down to cover the 32-400 sand scratches
5. wetsand with 1000 till smooth
6. put down 2-3 coats of base
7. 2 coats of clear if your not going to cut and buff. 3 coats if you are.
