Default Conversion 88 GMC

Im thinking of purchasing an 88 GMC that id like to get an LS1 into just for a project. Does any one know where i can find info on how to do this or do any of you guys have any ideas for me.

If you could find a wrecked '99 on up GM truck that would make your life a lot easier. You could just swap out everything that way....computer, harness, engine, etc....

well my buddy has a 88 and thats the model that i want. he only wants 600 for it and all it needs so far is a starter. Other than that its all in good condition.

there's a guy on ls1truck.com that has done a LS1 coversion in an older model GMC truck.

I'm asuming the 81-87 style??
Which 88??
I know it's a odd question but for half of that year there was ths style of truck in your pics(81-87), and the 88-98 style. I had an 88 gmc and it was the 88-98 style. I think in 88 the 4x4 were 81-87 style while the 2wd were the 88-98, but not 100% sure.

then it may be another year but it looks more like the black one. Its 2wd not 4x4.
