Console help?
#1
Just got a new jump seat/console for my 40/20/40 bench to replace the well worn one that broke last week.
None of the 3 bolts that mount it to the lower half of the seat will fit, am I missing something? Should I be re-drilling these mounting holes?
Help.

They do sit in the same bolt holes. But the replacement console from the dealership lacks threads within those holes (original console has threads), so the original bolts wont screw in.

The console shouldn't have any threads......
I can't remember which is which for sure, but I think the front has threaded studs that come out of the floor, you put a nut on and tighten it down, and the rear has threaded holes in the floor that you put a bolt into. No threads on the console.

Okay gang,
found the solution. First of all, I'm not replacing the entire jump seat. I am only replacing the seat back/console part.
The issue is that the dealer-ordered replacement is a 2006 style that uses self tapping screws as opposed to the original console that was pre-threaded for regular bolts.
