Default Colormatching

Ok im sure that this is on here somewhere but i cant find it anywhere

ive been wanting to colormatch my top bumper mirror caps and handles but one of my friends said that the paint wouldnt stick right and it would come off soon...is this true?

I really want it done but dont want it to be a waste, help me out here please

It depends on the painter/prep. On 04 silvy I had got the mirror caps and door handles from a same color escalade (vin#) from the dealer, the bumper cap you buy one from an 06 silverado and get it painted to match. But I have seen some real good work on painted parts that were testure finish.

mine were plastic at one point, and i took off my mirror caps, top bumper cap, and lower valence and sanded them all smooth and took them to my body shop and they did an amazing job on em and they still look great, they have less orange peel than my truck, i highly recommend clark brothers in arlington...

not sure how it would hold up if you rattle can'd it
