They have chrome p/c...probably not as purdy as dipped chrome though

I've seen it used straight over new wheels. It is extremely clear and hard. Only problem was they sprayed it with dust in the air which caused a few bad spots. It still held up good.

The chrome/stainless PC is probably what I will go with in the future.

ummm....I had the front motor plate for my Camaro clear powder coated. I polished it to a bright shine (aluminum) and the I had it coated. Came out really nice and have never had any problems. The only place it flaked/cracked is where the main plate-to-frame molts tighten but this is putting A LOT of pressure on the coating (which is understandable). I have thought about getting rims coated clear but the thing that keeps me from doing it is that IF the coating gets damaged for some reason (rocks, chips, curb rash, etc...), I couldn't just buff out the damage like I can with straight aluminum.
